The Mahindra XUV400 has finally come to life! It will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, MG ZSev, and the Hyundai Kona. The XUV400 is based on the XUV300, and it comes with some changes inside out! Here’s everything you need to know about the Mahindra XUV400!
-
Design
The structure and the outline of this eSUV are identical to the XUV300. It gets new designs for the headlights, front grille, rear bumper, and taillights. The Mahindra XUV400 will get a dual-tone treatment where the roof will be coloured in Satin Copper, as Mahindra calls it. The copper inserts also make their way into the cladding that runs throughout the body and on the inside.
It gets the new Mahindra SUV logo, and it suits this car. Overall, the design of the XUV400 is quite striking, it is not too techy, but it is not very generic either. The new design on the 16-inch alloys looks much better than what we see on the competition.
Dimensions – 4200mm long, 1821mm wide, and the wheelbase is 2600mm.

Battery and range of the Mahindra XUV400
The battery pack on this eSUV is an IP67-rated, 39.4kW unit. The torque output is a massive 310mm! Mahindra claims a range of 456KMs on a single charge, and this number looks promising. The car is capable of doing a 0 – 100 KM/hr run in just 8.3 seconds, making it the fastest in the segment. The battery will fully charge in just 6hrs 30 mins if a 7.2kW/32A outlet is used. However, using a general 3.3kW/16A unit will extend the charging time to 13 hours.
