Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Facelift Petrol SHVS Spied

Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza facelift was spied recently. The rear end of the car was captured in the pictures this time. Auto Expo 2020 will see the launch of the compact SUV.

The inhouse revolutionary SHVS technology will be powering the facelifted version of the Vitara Brezza.

When the car clutch is engaged SHVS turns the engine off and when the clutch is disengaged an electric motor assists the engine to reach the RPM that it needs.

The car comes under the hybrid system technology as it is equipped with a battery. The car is powered by a battery and hence comes under the hybrid car technology segment.

Earlier Ciaz diesel and Ertiga had it and now Vitara Brezza will be joining the fleet.

Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza | Engine Specifications

The facelifted version, however, will lose its Diesel variant as Maruti is staying away from BS6 Diesel engines for the time being.

  • A 1.5 litre Naturally Aspirated (NA) engine will power the new Brezza
  • The engine outputs 105hp of power and 138Nm torque.
  • The car will have a 4 speed automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission option
  • The lesser variants will be only getting a 5-Speed Manual option.

Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza | Cosmetic Updates

Cosmetic changes for the rear are visible and appear to be a bit limited with major changes to the taillights.

  • Taillight of the car has seen some changes.
  • Instead of silver, the faux diffuser in the bumper is now black
  • The rear sports an SHVS badge hinting at a chance of an Integrated Starter Generator.
  • The front of the car has negligible changes

Maruti Suzuki will be launching the car at Auto Expo 2020, early next month. An improved infotainment system and many more technologically advanced features will be equipped in the car.

Considering the fact that the car exceeds the displacement limit of the 1.2-litre engine limit, the car will sport a pricier price tag. This is because the car will have to forget the excise duty benefits it used to enjoy with the smaller engine in place.

Maruti is expecting to hold its ground in the compact SUV segment market with the new facelift version of the Vitara Brezza. Will it be able to increase Maruti’s sales? That’s a question to ask.
