Mercedes are always known to provide something special to their cars. It is expected that the Mercedes-Benz EQA in India will have gesture controls. These controls will offer convenience in operating the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. This feature will add to the character of the car. The ICE GLA has always been a very fun-to-drive compact crossover car. The funky-looking interior available has complemented the interior very well. This car has been an absolute favorite among the young enthusiasts. Adding gesture control for the infotainment system will increase the appeal.

Another feature that will be added to the EQA will be a 12-speaker Burmester sound system. This will set this new car apart from the existing GLA. The EQA will provide a much more premium experience when compared to its ICE counterpart. This Burmester system is a 710W output system with subwoofers.

What GoMechanic Thinks of the EQA?

The ‘Three-Pointed Star’ has been a status symbol in India. No other luxury car brand has gained the same popularity level as that of Mercedes-Benz. It is considered as the pinnacle of luxury. Adding the EQA to their lineup is a great move from Mercedes-Benz India. There was a big price gap in the luxury electric car market, and this car will decrease that gap. Buyers opting to go for a luxury electric car under 90 lakhs, had options from the Korean car brands and the newly launched sedan from BYD.

The majority of luxury electric cars available in India, from European manufacturers, are available above the price bracket of 1cr. This new electric crossover will spark the luxury segment once again. Other Car brands will also be targeting the Indian Car market with their affordable electric car offerings. Having a competitive car segment is always good from the buyer’s point of view.
