Well, it seems that the amount of competition in the automotive sector has put every carmaker to give in their best. With that said, Chinese owned British carmaker MG is all set to launch its all-new mid-size SUV in India.
The SUV in question could be the MG Astor which has also been spied testing in India. Thanks to our friends at ICN who caught the Astor on the test.
With its launch, the MG Astor will be battling with the segment leaders like the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Going by leading media reports MG is also planning to launch the Astor during the upcoming festive season.
What’s under the hood?
- We can expect the MG Astor to feature a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and an optional 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol.
- Both the engine generates 120bhp and a peak torque of 150 Nm and 163bhp and 230Nm of torque respectively.
- It is also speculated to feature a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol unit which more powerful than that of the Hyundai Creta.
What’s on the feature end?
- The feature list on the Astor includes a massive 10-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera among others.
