The Chinese-owned British car manufacturer MG, launched it first vehicle for the Indian market, the Hector in September 2019. And considering it is rather difficult to sustain in the Indian market, MG has done quite well, thanks to its rather unique set of car in its portfolio. Hence, MG wants this to keep going hence, MG is planning to launch yet another update of the MG Hector.
In 2019, MG launched the facelifted hector in 2021, making is even better than before along with solving the problems that the customers had with the previous model. Now, this festive season, the carmaker may launch another update for this vehicle. So, what can we expect from this new update? Let’s find out.

Updated aesthetics
Like before the new update of the MG Hector might get updates to its aesthetics. But this time around, we expect MG to give the SUV a thorough change. The changes might include, a different front bumper, taillights, headlights, rear bumper, and also the alloy wheels.

On the inside too we are expecting MG to make it closer to the competition and a little more premium by using elegant color shades and better quality material.

Inclusion of Level-ll ADAS
By far the biggest change we can expect is that in this new update, MG Hector might get level-ll ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features. Not to forget, MG was the first carmaker to bring the ADAS features to mainstream cars with Gloster and then Astor.
Well, it is also anticipated that the features on the new MG Hector might include, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and others.

Price and Launch date
Since the day of the launch of the MG Hector, the SUV comes with a ton of features of keeping its occupants entertained. As of the prices, right now MG Hector starts at Rs. 14.15 Lakh and goes all the way up to 20.32 Lakhs, both ex-showroom. With this update, we expected MG to raise the prices by 50,000 – 60,000 for the top-end trim. And 10,000- 15,000 for the lower variants that will not have ADAS. This means the new prices would range from Rs. 15 Lakh – Rs. 22 Lakh (ex-showroom). As said earlier we expect the new MG Hector to be launched somewhere around November this year. Additionally, as of now, there is no news about the update being carried forward to the MG Hector Plus. However, we expect, eventually the 7-seater will also be pampered with similar changes.
