The ZS EV is the second car in MG’s India lineup after the Hector. The car has already got almost 3000 bookings until now. Though the auto market is relatively down due to the Coronavirus scare still MG has managed to deliver 158 units in the month of February 2020. Hyundai Kona was not able to match this figure and was able to sell a mere figure of 32 units only.
Not only the NG ZS EV or the Hyundai Kona, but the sale numbers for the electric vehicles have also been relatively lower than the IC engine vehicles. It seems that the Indian audience is accepting the shift to electric but the transition seems really slow as of now. Further, Tata Nexon EV has also come up which will increase the variety of choice for the Indian audience. Mahindra is also planning a couple of EVs for the Indian market which will give the audience a wide range to choose from.
