In this article, we give you 4 motorcycles in India with Double Barrel exhausts. We will be considering only single-cylinder engines with dual or double barrel exhausts. These exhausts look good and sound even better, which makes them good for both eyes and ears.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
One of the first motorcycles in India with a double-barrel exhaust is the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. It was initially launched in 2016 with several options. You had options to buy a model with carburettor or fuel injection, TVS or Pirelli tyres, with or without ABS. That’s a whole lot of options if you ask us. But now, you can have it with only a fuel injection and ABS, while the option of tyres is not clear. Even to this date, it remains one of the best city bikes with more than adequate performance for a 200cc motorcycle. It has lots of grunt in the lower revs and a punchy mid-range, which is very helpful while riding in City conditions. With the recent update, it gets adjustable suspension and riding modes which make it an even sweeter deal.
The double-barrel exhaust houses twin catalytic converters that help the motorcycle meet emission norms and hence had to be designed that way. The exhaust’s design might be a hit or a miss but the throaty, deep exhaust note that comes out of it is music to your ears.

Bajaj Dominar 400
Bajaj Dominar, the power cruiser is next on the list of motorcycles in India with double-barrel exhaust. According to us, this is the best-looking exhaust among the 3 on this list. It sounds beefier than the Apache RTR 200 4V and it is a definite upgrade over its previous model. What’s even better is the fact that it gets more power than before that aids it to cruise triple-digit speeds effortlessly. The comfortable saddle for both rider and pillion is good for long journeys and it is city-friendly too.
Just like the entire design of the bike, the exhaust also looks beefy and adds character to the motorcycle. It’s short, stubby and muscular to look at and sounds better than you expect. Just like the other exhausts on this list, the primary purpose is again to make sure, the motorcycle meets the emission norms and we think it does it with style.

Suzuki Gixxer 150/250
The Suzuki Gixxer is the last of the 3 motorcycles in India with a double-barrel exhaust. The Gixxer motorcycles came with short stubby exhausts right from the beginning. They add to the aesthetic appeal but definitely do not sound as beefy as the other two on this list.
The Gixxers with their SOHC engines provide amazing low-end grunt and a punchy mid-range but taper off soon after. This is more like nitpicking as both the 150 and 250 feel at home in the urban jungle and at the same time, they can cruise triple-digit speeds with ease. The exhaust comes on its own when you pin the throttle and surprisingly stays subtle at lower rpms.

Jawa/ Jawa 42
The only bikes on this list to feature dual exhausts are the Jawa and Jawa 42. They stay true to the design of the legendary Jawa motorcycles of the yesteryears and that is one big nod from us. The motorcycle is amazing no matter where you ride it. The low end is good and the mid-range is great but it does not taper off at higher revs since it is a DOHC setup. This makes it an amazing package as a whole and is definitely money well spent.
We believe, for single-cylinder motorcycles with double-barrel exhausts, these are the only ones in Indian right now. All of them are unique and serve a specific purpose even though they have a few similar features along with the exhaust setup. Nonetheless, we would advise you to kindly take an extensive test ride before putting down the cheque.
