Tata Nexon EV Hits New Sales Milestone!

As the industry progresses, EVs are gradually increasing on the road. Tata has two EVs in its lineup; Tigor & Nexon EV. the latter one has been around for a long run being the most selling EV of all time.

Nexon EV was launched back in 2020, powered by ziptron technology for improved performance. It is powered by a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery churning out 127hp & 245Nm torque. The ARAI certified range is 312 kilometres, and it comes with both a standard & fast charger.

Let’s look at the milestone Tata achieved along with what they have planned:

  • New Milestone

    The Affordable EV -Tata Nexon EV

    Tata Motors announced that they had sold more than 13,500 units of the Nexon EV in two years since the launch. Previously they announced reaching 4,000 units in April 2021, and since then, this is an impressive number in a lesser amount of time.

    Currently, the Nexon EV is the most selling electric car in India, with about 1,000 units being sold in a month. It was the first EV launched by a home-grown manufacturer & was the most affordable EV for a long time before the launch of Tigor EV. it has a price range of ₹14.29-16.90 lakhs and also comes in a Dark Edition.

  • Incoming Facelift

    Tata Nexon EV Dark Edition

    Except for the Dark edition, the EV is available in two more trims. Tata is leading the four-wheeler EV market with a share of 70% and has more new launched planned. The reports suggest a facelift coming soon this year for the Nexon EV.

    The primary highlight of the facelift would be the bigger battery pack and the extended range that comes along. It might be powered by a 40kWh lithium-ion battery offering a range of about 400 kilometres after the facelift.


  • New Nexon EV Coupe

    Tata Motors Nexon Coupe mid-size SUV in the works

    In addition to the facelift, a new mid-size EV coupe SUV is expected based on the Nexon. It will be based on the same platform but will have distinctive cosmetic features. It will be about 50mm longer, providing more legroom along with a new rear & tailgate. It will be based on the same platform but will have distinctive cosmetic features.

    No significant changes are expected for the front, but Tata might slightly rework it. It will have the same tapering roofline with a sporty appeal. It might be powered by the same 40kWh battery pack with a similar range of 400 kilometres.
