With February coming to an epic end with Auto expo 2020, Japanese automaker Nissan has recently released the second teaser of its upcoming compact SUV (Codenamed: EM2) and within the teaser to couldn’t help but notice that the compact SUV will come equipped with LED taillights. Additionally reports also suggest the compact SUV will also support connected vehicle tech.
Nissan had also released the first trailer a few days which revealed it’s overall crossover design-ish silhouette. According to recent media reports the B-segment to go on sale for the Indian audience by the opening end of FY 2020-21 ( April- September 2020).

- The new Nissan compact SUV will be based on Renault’s and Nissan’s CMF-A architecture which also underpins the Renault Triber, and will also do its duty in Renaults upcoming HBC compact SUV.
- On the mechanical front, we can expect Nissan’s compact SUV to feature a 1.0-litre BS6 compliant three-cylinder HR10 petrol engine capable of generating around 98hp. The engine might be offered with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
- The group-B SUV is expected to be placed below the Nissan Kicks and will support some common features with the Renault Kiger, which is expected to make its Indian debut by the end of 2020.
- Feature-wise we can surely expect the Nissan SUV to have squared wheel arches, chromed window line, contrast dual-tone roof, blackened pillars, raked windshield, sleek swept-back headlamps and bold creases.
- However, on the inside, we can surely expect the Nissan compact SUV to hold a massive touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, sunroof, automatic climate control, engine start/stop button and active cruise control.
