What is the Renault Arkana?
Well, unlike EVERY other car in this segment, the Arkana is a coupe-SUV. It features a sloping roofline, and it features a rather sporty look. It sits on the same platform that houses the Renault Captur. The Arkana is on sale in foreign markets, and Renault has recently started testing it in India too.

What does it pack inside?
On the inside, the Arkana is a pretty loaded SUV. It gets all the modern tech and gizmos. It features a 9.3-inch portrait-style infotainment system. Safety features like a 360-degree camera, blind spot assist, auto emergency braking and some semi-autonomous features are seen on the Renault Arkana. The SUV also gets a fully digital driver’s display and a BOSE sound system!

What drives the Renault Arkana?
Under the hood, the Arkana gets 2 petrol engine options. The smaller, 1.3L turbo-petrol engine gets a mild-hybrid system. It churns out about 138HP. The bigger, 1.6L Petrol engine is assisted by 2 fully functional electric motors. Renault says that these motors can cover up to 80% of city driving requirements, saving a lot of harm to the environment, and also a lot of fuel!

When will it come to India?
Renault has not made an official statement about bringing the Arkana to India yet. However, we do believe that it could launch in India by the end of 2022. The Renault Arkana might come in through the CBU route to our country. The expected price for the Arkana is around Rs.20 Lakhs for the top-spec variants. It will compete against the Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, MG Astor and the MG Hector as well.
