It was not too long ago that the new BS6 compliant version of the 2020 Renault Captur was spotted testing on foreign soil. It was expected that the French carmaker was planning to launch the new Captur last year but somehow changed their plans and did not launch the new model due to reasons unknown.
Now we have confirmed reports that Renault is working to launch the 2020 Renault Captur BS6 in the coming weeks. Not only that Renault India has already updated its current product range to comply with new and more stringent BS6 emission norms including models such as the Duster, Kwid and the Triber MPV.

- On the mechanical front, the BS6 compliant version of the Renault Captur will feature the same 1.5-litre petrol engine capable of generating 105bp with 142Nm of peak torque in its current state of tune while paired to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Renault Captur BS6 | Interior & Exterior
- The new Renault Captur Facelift is 4.33 inches longer than the already existing model and also has a 2 cm longer wheelbase. The new car comes with 18-inch wheels which will most probably be alloy wheels and the car boasts full LED lights both at the front and at the back. For the Russian market, Renault says that the new Captur will be available in total 90 colour combinations which is surely a unique thing in this segment of vehicles.
- On the Inside, it is expected to retain its previous image which will include 9.3inch integrated infotainment system display, Power windows, USB charge, 4 speakers, front and rear AC ducts and the list goes on.
Price, Launch & Rivals
- With its launch, we can expect the new Captur to price around Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 higher than its predecessor.
- As far as the launch is concerned it is highly likely to see the new Captur on Indian shores by the end of this month or in early May 2020.
- Talking about its rivals the BS6 Renault Captur will compete with the Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the Maruti S-Cross.
