French carmaker’s Renault’s first sub-compact SUV the Kiger was recently spotted testing again on Indian roads partially revealing its front fascia. Going by these spy shots it seems that the new Renault Kiger will feature a new V-shaped grille with slim daytime LED lights on both side and a triple-pod headlamp placed lower down on the front bumper with its grille having silver inserts which seems quite similar to the Renault Kwid.
What kind of powertrain will the Kiger use?
The new subcompact SUV will be sitting on the same CMF-A+ platform as of the Renault Triber. Thus we can expect it to get the 1.0-litre engine from the Triber which produces 71.05hp of power and 96Nm of torque. In the nearing future, Kiger can get a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine option as well.

How does the Kiger look on the outside?
The new sub-4m SUV from Renault will also support massive 16-inch alloy- wheels In the styling segment, the test car has a typical crossover-like shape. In fact, the front doors and a few body panels like the front bumper, grille and even the hood seem to have been copied from the Renault Triber!
How does the Kiger look on the inside?
Feature-wise the upcoming Kiger SUV will be getting a sunroof, first time in any Renault car. We can expect the upcoming SUV to share its interiors with the Triber compact MPV which includes automatic climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, projector headlamps and much more on the Inside. Being so feature-packed, Renault HBC will surely be able to attract a lot of customers. Although the Kiger will not be Renault’s eSIM-based connected tech which is one of the key features of the Renault Tiber.
