It was just recently when Hyundai’s sister brand Kia unveiled the official sketches of its upcoming fourth-gen Kia Carnival and now here it is in real life! just after a couple of days the rumoured test mule has been snapped being on the roads of South Korea for the first time. Interestingly the car has not been launched anywhere in the world yet. So spotting one without any camouflage or outer covering is quite unusual. One of the most noticeable change on the new 2021 Kia Carnival is that it has grown in size. However, Kia has not yet revealed the exact dimension but by the looks of it, we can say that it seems to be very proportionate from every angle.
How is the 2021 Kia Carnival different from the Current-Gen model?
Well, if we compare the new 2021 fourth-gen Carnival to the current-gen Carnival the new model looks a lot sharper than the outgoing model. The new Carnival also gets a high-set bonnet, sleeker headlamps, Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille which has now been brushed down to a sleeker look, large LED DRLS, a redesigned front and rear bumper giving it an SUV type appeal.
Coming to the sides, it also gets sharper lines and creases making it look more dynamic. The blacked-out A, B, and D pillars give the roof a floating effect, while the chrome applique on the C-pillar extends. The new 2021 Carnival has been thoroughly remodelled on the rear as well as it now features a new sleek and stretched LED light bar instead of the previous bulky LED tail lamps. The boot has also been completely revamped and has now become much more flatter breaking its usual bulky look. It also gets more creases if compared to the current 3rd-gen model.

What else is new in the 2021 Kia Carnival?
Sadly, Kia has not yet revealed any other specifications yet. But as per rumours, Kia has done a major revamp on the inside. We can expect Kia to merge the infotainment system and the instrument cluster into a single screen along with AC vents in the centre console will be much sleeker than the outgoing model. Additionally, the steering wheel is also expected to be more compact and accessible. Kia is expected to make the new MPV look more minimal than the current generation.

Any major changes on the Mechanical Front?
We can expect the South-Korean carmaker to introduce the fourth-gen Carnival with 2 engine options 3.3L GDi V6 petrol and 2.2L turbocharged diesel which have been seen on the current model as well. But this time they will be tuned in a different state in the new-gen Carnival.
