Remember the Kia Carnival which shockingly took the MPV segment and the chart-topper the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta in terms of every aspect. As of now the existing model of the Carnival MPV is sold under 4 configurations which includes a 7-seater, 8-seater, 9-seater and the 11-seater. Now many reports have surfaced the internet that the Korean automobile manufacturer Kia is planning to introduce a 4-seater variant of the 2021 Kia Carnival for the domestic market. You might be thinking that what’s new in it and that every major carmaker does come out with a facelifted versions of the cars.
Well, the most major change will that the 2021 Kia Carnival MPV will be offered in a new luxurious 4-seat seating configuration as well. It was not too long ago when we at GoMechanic published an exclusive report talking about what all changes will the next-gen Kia Carnival support.
Coming to the mechanical specifications, it is highly likely that the all-new Kia Carnival will retain its existing 3.5-litre petrol engine followed by an upgraded 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is said to be the tweaked version of the existing E-VGT unit capable of generating 198hp with 441 Nm of peak torque while measuring 5,155 mm in length, 1,955 mm in width and 1,740 mm in height and have 3,090 mm wheelbase.
