Renault Kiger vs Nissan Magnite: A Budget SUV Battle?

Renault and Nissan both have set up the sub-compact SUV segment on fire with their recent launches. And both of the SUVs have a really good package on offer. Nissan’s Magnite has already been booked like hotcakes. Renault on the other hand has introduced Kwid’s bigger brother, the Kiger. So, if you’re planning to buy a sub-compact SUV while being tight on the budget, we’ll help you choose between Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. Let’s begin the hunt.

Being built on the same platform, there is no difference in terms of engine options. What you do get is an extra automatic gearbox option with the Kiger. Both the engines offer a good mileage.

Which of the two will offer more space?

Dimensions Comparison

Even though both of the sub-compact SUVs are made on a similar platform, there is a lot more difference in terms of dimensions.

Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. Well, that being said, I personally feel that Kiger is a bigger Kwid, while the Magnite has a presence that can be felt from far, all thanks to a bold front fascia and a magnificant sculpture makes it stand apart. As for the Kiger, it is bold, wide and big, but still misses out on being different from Kwid. Again, I might have a varied concept when it comes to looks, do let us know about your thoughts in the comments section below.

Verdict | Renault Kiger vs Nissan Magnite

Well, what is a comparison without price comparison. But, the prices of Kiger have not been revealed yet. From what Renault says, Kiger is going to be the most affordable sub-compact SUV in India. This puts Kiger on the heavier side of the scale. Magnite offers a distinct design while Kiger has everything else you can ask for.
