Renault has launched its 1.0-litre engine at Auto Expo 2020. The carmaker has come up with the BS 6 compliant engine for its upcoming cars. To make sure that the carmaker does not stay behind with the BS6 upgrade the engine has been developed for the upcoming cars.
The car engine which is jointly developed by Renault and Nissan will be mostly used in the sub 4m vehicles of the two company as well as Datsun. The engine is a 1.0-litre mated with a 6-speed manual will be able to churn out 160Nm of torque. The non-turbocharged version currently in use develops 96 Nm.
The brand is also contemplating to mate it with a CVT or DCT transmission. Cars which might be getting this engine will be the Renault HBC and the Nissan EM2.

Renault at Auto Expo 2020
The carmaker has made sure that it grabs some attention at the Auto Expo 2020. The French carmaker will be showcasing and launching a slew of vehicles. The Zoe and the Kwid K-ZE will be leading the EV brigade for the company.
Moreover, the company’s MPV, the Triber, receives an upgrade at the Expo 2020 with the AMT transmission. The Renault Triber Easy-R AMT will launch in the first half of this year itself. The Renault Triber has already turned out to hit the correct chord with the consumers as more than 28,000 units are already sold.
