Why is this a big deal?
This is a huge deal because the design of the Rolls Royce mascot has never been changed in the past 111 YEARS! For more than an entire century, Rolls Royce cars have been coming with the same mascot. It is also a big deal because the Spirit of Ecstasy is crucial for any Rolls Royce car, they’re basically known for it!

What’s new on the Rolls Royce mascot?
The new mascot follows a similar design to the original one that was made by Charles Sykes. The revised version sits 17mm lower than the current version. Rolls Royce says that this new mascot will give an ‘authentically contemporary aura’ and will be more focused on showing speed and focus. The design had also been reshaped to be more aerodynamic. The robe on the older mascot, which was often perceived as wings, will sit lower on the new mascot.

When will we see it?
Not anytime soon. The new Spirit of Ecstasy will debut on cars that are released after the all-electric car, Spectre. All models of the Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan, Dawn and Wraith will continue to come with the current mascot.
