7 Telltale Signs For You to Know That Your Car Suspension is Failing

A suspension system in a vehicle is not just about comfort, it also keeps the wheels on the ground at all times.

    If you experience that your car is drifting on either side of the road when trying to drive in a straight line, there could be a couple of things wrong. For one, we recommend you to check your tyres for low pressure. Next, get your wheels aligned, if the problem is still not resolved, then you might just have a suspension problem.

    Get your vehicle checked immediately to avoid a bigger problem that right just be too heavy for your wallet. But for you to know, if it the former, either your suspension, outer tie rod or inner tie rod might be broken.

    To figure this out, your vehicle should be on a levelled ground. Now, with that out of our way, observe the car. If any corner of the vehicle sits lower than the other, then you might have a damaged spring. The damper or the whole suspension could also be a problem.

    To clear the things out, if the car has a damaged spring, you might hear a clunking noise when going over a bad section of road. You could also observe this when pushing the car down from the hood of the truck, depending upon which is the lower side.

    Another sign that may or may not mean suspension failure is when the tyre wears unevenly. For one, this could mean that the wheel alignment or wheel balancing iso off. The other reason, yes! when you have a broken suspension.

    With time the rubber bushing on the suspension mounting gets worn out. When this problem is rectified in its initial stages it is not that expensive. But when ignored, this could lead to even more severe problems.
