“It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow”. But when it comes to the Skoda Octavia vRS, there is no such thing as slow. And when enthusiasts like Mandeep Singh modify theirs, there is no such thing called limits. But what all has been upgraded? What are the new figures? Let’s find out!
Stock Octavia vs Mandeep’s Octavia vRS!
Mandeep’s Octavia vRS is a 2018 model. In this generation at stock, Skoda Octavia vRS was equipped with a 2.0-litre TSI engine capable of producing 230hp of power and a peak torque of 350Nm. On the other hand, Mandeep’s Octavia vRS has been tuned to produce over 350hp of power and a massive torque of 520Nm. The stock engine takes around 7 seconds to reach 100kmph from a standstill. While this modified Octavia vRS takes less than 5 seconds to do the same. Top speed for the all-stock one is 240kmph. Mandeep has been able to get a top speed of 280kmph from his Octavia and that too is limited! But what has gone into making this beast?
The Modifications
To begin with, the turbocharger has been equipped with an aftermarket intercooler and a full boost hose kit. To prevent the overloading of the turbocharger, Gofastbits’ DV+ blow-off valve has been used. It has also got a Revo Stage 2 crackle overrun for the exhaust system. The exhaust system also gets Miltek Decat downpipe from the UK. To make sure that the transmission is able to take into account these power specs, TVS stage 2 remap has been done on the DSG automatic transmission. RS3 ignition coils and RS7 spark plugs have been added for better performance of the engine. Amsoil engine oil and racing brake fluid have replaced the stock ones.
With great power comes great rolling! And to prevent rolling around the corners or sharp turns, Mandeep has added anti-roll bar at both front and the rear end. Eibach sourced adjustable anti-roll bar at the front and a rear one from the same company. Eibach’s high-performance adjustable suspension, Pro Street S coilovers has also been added to this Skoda Octavia vRS.
As there is a significant increase in power, there is a need for significant braking too. For that EBS sourced front rotors with EBC yellow brake pads perform the front braking duty while the rear brake pads have also been replaced by the same brake pads.
For the wheels, Lenso Jagerdyna Satin Anthracite alloy has been chosen by Mandeep for his Skoda Octavia vRS with 225/45 Michelin PS4 replacing the original rubber.

From ECS tuning, Mandeep has sourced carbon fibre inlet pipe, turbo muffler, 90-degree bend pipe, front and rear stainless steel braided lines, front strut mounts, coolant re-route pipe with unidirectional valve and oil cat-can system.
So what was the total cost of the Modification?
So these are the huge number of modifications that have gone into making this Skoda Octavia vRS one of the most torque producing ones in India. The total modification has made Mandeep spend over ₹10 lakhs. This does not include the cost of the car! Have a look at another tasteful modification done by Mandeep on his VW Polo GT TSI.
