Design
The VW Taigun carries a bold and muscular look to it. The front looks quite imposing with the well chiseled bonnet and the grille. The all LED lighting set-up gives it a contemporary, sophisticated look. Volkswagen has brilliantly integrated the dynamic look with their standard elegant and understated appeal. The LED lights that extend to the center of the tailgate are also a treat to the eyes.

Features
Volkswagen has loaded the Taigun with a plethora of features. It gets a completely digital driver’s display, or as VW calls it, the driver’s cockpit. Features like a massive infotainment screen, android-auto and apple car-play are obviously present. It gets a wireless charging feature, a sunroof, and India’s new favorite feature, ventilated seats as well. You will also see a hint of red that works as the ambient lighting in the Taigun.

Engine Options
The Taigun gets 2 petrol engine options. The first one is a 1.0L 3 cylinder TSI motor that produces 115HP and 172nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The other one is a 1.5L TSI motor that produces 150HP and 250nm of torque. It will get a 7-speed DSG, something that VW is does very well!

Safety on the Taigun
For safety, the Taigun gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, however the 6 airbag set-up is only available in the top variants. It also gets a slew of electronics including hill assist, ESC, multi-collision brakes and traction control amongst others.

Competitors
The Taigun will be a competitor in the compact SUV segment. This means that it will be targeting the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos, and the all new MG Astor as well. Some of these competitors do offer lucrative features like a Panoramic Sunroof, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ADAS, etc.
