The Tata Altroz was the second product from the home-grown carmaker. We are aware that Tata has been working on a performance-based variant.
The Tata Altorz turbo-petrol variant is slated to launch sometime soon. Tata has already begun testing its new performance-based Altroz.
With that said a new undisguised test mule of the Tata Altroz Turbo petrol has been spotted testing. The premium hatchback from Tata and is based on the more modular and versatile ALFA-ARC platform.

The recent test-mule was spotted in a unique colour scheme rumoured to be the Tectonic Blue, which is also available in the BS6 Tata Tiago facelift.

What are the changes on the mechanical front?
The new performance-based Altroz will feature a slightly tweaked 1.2-litre Revotron turbo petrol engine generating 118bhp @ 5,500rpm and 170Nm @ 1,750-4,000rpm sourced from the current-gen Tata Nexon.
The engine will come mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission, while a brand new DCT system would be optional.
How will the new Turbo-petrol differ from the previous gen (feature-wise)?
- In terms of exterior styling, the new variant carries the same elements from its predecessor. The only notable change was the turbo badging on the boot lid.
- Coming to the inside, we can expect to see the same feature as its previous-gen model including a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7.0-inch TFT display in the semi-digital instrument cluster, cruise control etc.
