The Tata Safari, India’s first SUV is getting its Gold Edition this festive season. According to official sources, the flagship project is to be “is a vision of luxury and opulence.” Armed with a host of new features and a stunning new look, the Tata Safari Gold is priced at 21.9 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and 23.18 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) when bought with the automatic transmission upgrade. Let’s see what’s new about the Tata Safari Gold Edition.
The Tata Safari Gold comes in two colours, Black gold and white gold. The main difference in terms of looks lies in the gold embellishments. The silver roof rails, handles, logo, grille and fog lamp surround have been swapped out with gold to give a more royal look to the car. The new 18-inch Charcoal alloy wheels are to add to the effect. However, if you ask me, I find the old classic silver more appealing.
The Tata Safari flagship car also comes with upgraded interior fits. Tata has gone for a Mont Blanc dashboard with marble and gold touches. The Black Gold vehicle will have a black marble dashboard while the White Gold one will have a white marble dashboard.
The upholstery too has been upgraded to diamond-quilted Oyster White leather seats. Ventilation has been provided in both the first and second rows.
The Tata Safari Gold comes with an 8.8-inch touch screen infotainment system that supports both Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The car also comes with a 7-inch instrument panel with a TFT display.
The area in which the Tata Safari Gold shines the brightest is in the tech features it offers. The Safari Gold comes with an automatic AC, cruise control and multiple driving modes. The car also comes with a wireless charger, air purifier and automatic AC.
The gold edition is to be showcased at IPL 2021 in Dubai. What do you think about Safari’s new avatar? Do you find the new look tempting or do you prefer the no-nonsense appeal of the old Tata Safari?
