    • Hi Sandeep,
Hyundai Verna’s base model has an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.31 lakhs. It won’t come under 10 lakhs if we consider the on-road price. All the cars mentioned in the list have been included on the basis of their ex-showroom prices only. Stay tuned!

  2. I want to buy a compact SUV. Saw Nexon but the feed back was poor. Have ford , Duster WRV Brezza in mind. Which one should I go for. Pl advise.

    • Hi Dev,
Out of the ones you have mentioned here, Renault Duster is the most powerful one, in fact, the most powerful in the segment (156ps). It also gets enough amount of features one could ask for in a compact SUV. The 1.3-litre turbo engine is also offered with a CVT transmission. Stay pinned!

  3. Hello I am planning to buy a car compact SUV in Petrol with budget of 8-9(on road), I have

    1. Tata Nexon 2020 in mind considering 120PS power and build quality but log term reviews of TATA regarding quality of material is not that good,
    2. Hyundai Venue but it seems smaller than competitors 🙁
    3. Kia Sonet seems expensive for features offered in lower variants
    4. Considering to stretch budget and buy Base creta (EX) also.

Iam very confused , can you please guide me how to select a good car and zero down my choices before test drive and decide.

    Thanks in advance

    • Hi Deepak,

You can go for Hyundai Venue as it has got a powerful engine and enough features at offer. If you can stretch your budget up by 2 lakhs, you can also look for Mahindra XUV300 or the Renault Triber. In the list you have provided, we would definitely recommend you to take a test drive of Tata Nexon as well as the Hyundai Venue. Do let us know about your choice!

  4. Which one would be the best car if my budget is up to 10 lakhs and want it to be more of sedan then hatchback and can you refer me to the link of that car cause the one i have got from website making me confusing.

    • Hi Dinesh,
You can go for Hyundai Grand i10 Nios or Maruti Suzuki Baleno if you seek features and optimum power. But if safety is the prime concern, you should definitely go for Tata Tiago as it is the safest car in the segment. We would advise you to take a test drive of these three cars and then let us know your further doubts. Stay pinned!

    • Hey there,

The on-road price for these cars may vary from state to state. We advise you to reach out to your nearest car dealer for the best quotes. You might as well get a good discount on the on-road price!

  5. I want to buy a car the choices i have Hyundai venue, Baleno and Nexon . So need below 10 lakhs , which will be good in this list or any other you can suggest ?

    • Hi Arabinda,

Hyundai Venue is a very good choice in terms of performance, comfort and features. Tata Nexon, if you are looking for the first safest car in India. And Baleno if you seek comfortable drive. It is the only Maruti Suzuki car that comes with a CVT. You can also go for the Hyundai i20 2020 which has been recently launched.

  6. Hi, I am planning to buy a compact SUV. Considering Sonet HTX diesel and Venue SX diesel. Both costing approx 11.5L on road. Can you suggest the better of these 2 options or any other better option in this price range. Not interested in Tata cars!

    • Hi Sumit,
Both the vehicles from Hyundai are good in their own respective ways. But we also recommend you take a look at the Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport. Both of them have gem diesel engines and offer the appropriate features for your money. Also, the Mahindra is one of the safest vehicles in the segment scoring a rainbow (5-stars) in the Global NCAP crash test rating.

  7. I am buying Altroz XZ to keep safety in my mind even new features also very attractive like defogger, rear whipper, rear AC, rear and front hand rest, leg room, enough space, what you suggest. And pls tell if you have idea amount extra cost to migrate my car from one state to another

    • Hi Amit,

You are making a good choice while selecting the Altroz XZ variant. As for the migration charges of registration certificate from one state to another, it varies between ₹500-600.

  8. hi my budget is around 7 lakhs. i would mostly do weekend long drives and occasional road trips around the country. i love to drive just for the fun of driving . it will be mostly two people going around. Can you suggest a car for me.

  9. I shortlisted Ford Freestyle diesel. It goes 2 lakhs above my budget. The only drawback is small boot space. If it’s only 2 people travelling hopefully it should not be a problem. Any suggestions or comments about my choice?

  10. Hi Kran, I want to purchase a new compact suv automatic petrol car around 10 lakhs having mileage of 20 litres, good driving comfort, low maintenance cost and stylish look.

    • Hi Santhosh,
Considering your requirements, there are two vehicles that perfectly fall into your expectations.
      1) Nissan Magnite
      2) Hyundai Venue
Both the cars come with a 1.0-litre 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine. But where they differ are in terms of transmissions. The Hyundai comes with a 7-speed DCT gearbox, whereas the one in the Nissan Magnite is a CVT automatic. Coming to the mileage, the driving style is one of the major factors that decide the car’s mileage. Moving on, both the cars deliver more or less similar mileage how ever the one with CVT can go an extra mile at it that tad more efficient. So, we’d recommend you to take a test drive to make the selection process a little less confustin. Stay Pinned! 🙂

    4) Higher ground clearance
    5) Automatic Gear
    6) Autodefaug system
    7) Automatic window
    8) Road grip and Control
    9) 1600 Cc and 150 bhp
