The automotive market in India has begun to revive and June 2021 was the month that saw a very good number of car sales despite the ‘almost’ nationwide lockdown. The majority of states in India were under partial or complete lockdown and achieving the numbers which you are going to see in the following lines is a very good job we must say. Here are the top-selling cars in June 2021 in India. No surprise, Maruti has still got the majority.

1. Maruti Suzuki WagonR (19,447 Units)
   

   

   Maruti’s tallboy is the most sold car for the month of June 2021! Yes, we are seeing WagonR rise after a long time but we are happy it did. The first rank was held by Swift for most of the time but last month Creta had the crown. This time, WagonR has won the game with a sale of 19,447 units.

2. Maruti Swift (17,727 Units)
   

   

   The silver medal goes to Maruti Suzuki Swift which has managed to sell 17,727 units in the month of June 2021 despite the tough conditions. This hatch from the Indian automaker has been in the top 10 selling cars ever since we started reporting the sales every month! There is no wrong in saying that there is no one who has been able to match Swift’s market reputation and popularity!

3. Maruti Suzuki Baleno (14,701 Units)
   

   

   In the third place for the top-selling cars in June 2021, we have the Baleno. With this, Maruti’s premium hatchback becomes the top-selling car of its segment. No matter how safe other carmakers maybe, people are not shifting their attention towards anything else other than MSIL! 4. Maruti Suzuki Brezza (12,833 Units)
   

   

   Another MSIL car on the list is Brezza. I the fourth place, we have the one which made a transition from diesel to petrol in 2020 and no matter how high fuel prices may go, this car sells like hotcakes! For June 2021, Brezza ended up at 12,833 units beating all the competitors and becoming the most selling subcompact SUV!

5. Maruti Dzire (12,639 Units)
   

   

   Halfway down the list, we have the MSIL sub-4-metre sedan with a sale of 12,639 units. Another segment leader! There has been no one in the market who has been able to match even 50% in terms of what sale figures Dzire achieves! For ‘Aura and Amaze’ may come and ‘Aura & Amaze’ may go, Dzire goes on forever!

6. Maruti Alto 800 (12,513 Units)
   

   

   This one is still the most popular choice for first-time car buyers. Maruti Alto 800 has not received any facelift in recent times but still continues to sell more than its competitors. This 800cc hatch is still the most popular choice among those who are looking to buy a budget family car. For June 2021, Alto ended up selling 12,513 units.

7. Hyundai Creta (9,941 Units)
   

   

   Hyundai’s flagbearer in the top-selling cars for June 2021, Creta is in 7th place on the list. This SUV has sold 9,941 units in the month of June 2021. Updating the lineup, Hyundai has launched the Alcazar which is essentially an extended version of the already existing Creta. DO you think we will see it here on the list in the next month?

8. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
   

   

   The perfect MPV? Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is also among the top-selling cars for June 2021. In 8th place for the last month, Ertiga recorded a sale of 9,920 Units. All of us know that Triber has got a 4-star rating in terms of safety but it is still not able to match the sales figure of this MPV and we don’t think it will be able to do so in the near future.

9. Maruti Eeco (9,218 Units)
   

   

   Still here on the list! Maruti Suzuki Eeco is always here to surprise us. We have seen this car in the top-selling cars list so much so that it is no longer a surprise for us. 10. Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS (8,787 Units)
    

    

    Last but not least, we have the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS on our list of the top 10 most selling cars. The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is in 10th place with a sale of 8,787 units. This is a really good hatch that Hyundai has developed in recent times. Especially the availability of the turbo-petrol engine has made its sales get a push for sure.
