Toyota has finally launched the brand’s own iteration of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
The Urban Cruiser is the second product under the Toyota-Suzuki JV which started in 2015. The first product under this JV was the Maruti Suzuki Baleno which was later introduced by Toyota in the form of the Toyota Glanza.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. You can book the Urban Cruiser on Toyota’s official website by paying a deposit of ₹ 11,000.
The Urban Cruiser has been named the brand’s ‘Youngest SUV‘ to be added into the brand’s SUV line-up. Toyota has made Ayushman Khurana as the brand ambassador of the Toyota Urban Cruiser.

What powers Toyota’s youngest SUV?
- The Urban Cruiser comes powered by a powerful K-series 4-cylinder 1.5L petrol engine churning 105hp with 138 Nm of peak torque.
- The engine is offered with a standard 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
- Interestingly, the new young SUV also gets an advanced li-ion battery with ISG reserved for the AT variants only.
- It also offers the best in class fuel efficiency of 18.76km/l.

- On the Outside, We get to see a dynamic 2-slot wedge-cut grille with chrome inserts, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, high-mounted LED stop lamp and split LED taillamps.
- It also features LED fog lights and a set of dual-chamber LED projector headlamps with a dual functional LED DRL-cum-Turn indicator.
- On the inside, we get to see a 7.0-inch Smartplay cast touchscreen system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and dual-tone interior.
- Additional features include auto climate control, combi meter vibe lights, 4-speaker and 2 tweeter set-up, rain-sensing wipers, Toyota badging and new premium leather upholstery.
- It also sports features like a smart entry with engine push-start (standard across all variant and an electrochromic rear-view mirror.

- The safety package includes electro-chromatic rearview mirrors, airbags, power windows, hill hold, rear parking camera and ABS with EBD.
