What happens when you love your car and but at the same time are getting bored of watching the same car again and again? You get it modified! And what’s the best place to get it modified in India? Most of you would say DC Design. But India’s best designer and car modifier have also made some of the ugliest cars. Here is a list of 5 such cars modified by DC Design that look really ugly.

Toyota Fortuner
DC Modified Fortuner The fully-grown SUV from Toyota is one of the most sought after SUVs in India. This might be the reason DC Designs thought of modifying one. Well, this seems to be one of the ugliest looking Fortuners ever on the road. Although it had some cool features too. Some of them being leather captain seats with automatic reclining up to 150 degrees, aircraft-inspired ambient lighting system, rear folding tables with glass holders, two 10.4″ LCD screens with USB and in addition to all, an inverter onboard to run all the electrical appliances. Still, the original Fortuner looks better.

Maruti Suzuki Swift
DC’s Design of Swift | Another ugly car India’s largest carmaker Maruti has a hatchback in its arena that became the highest selling car in 2019 after dethroning its very own sibling, the Alto. Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the best selling hatchbacks in India. So DC decided to make a design for the mod lovers. And this is when an already slashed hatchback was slashed more to make it into a 2 door ugly looking car. No wonder no one chose this mod for their Swift.

Mahindra Thar
DC Designed Mahindra Thar | Ugly DC Cars What does it take to mess an icon? A few design elements from DC. That’s it! The Thar is known to be an icon with enough ruggedness. In short, a complete package. But DC decided to give an overhaul with body cladding, somewhat London taxi type design at the front and removing the rooftop. Well, the result was pretty sure pre-decided. The cult never excepted the DC Thar as the Mahindra Thar and the design was never appreciated.

DC Circa SUV
DC Circa SUV | Ugly DC Cars Well, this was not a modification. It was DC’s own designed SUV. DC combined the SUV segment with a sports car. And the result was the Circa SUV. And this SUV was no closer in looks to what we are accustomed to seeing nowadays.

Maruti Suzuki Gypsy
The Ugly DC Gypsy | Ugly DC Cars Another car in the list with a cult following that a very few cars can manage to match. Maruti Suzuki Gypsy is known to be one of the most sought after off-roader in the Indian market. This modified Gypsy was used in the Bollywood movie ‘Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ but even then this Gypsy was never able to justify the original cult. The ugly drooping front and uglier looking rear just added to the grief.
I think DC should focus more on interior modification as they are pretty good at it but when it comes to designs, sometimes let the carmakers take care of it.
