Volkswagen has finally revealed the Vento-replacing Volkswagen Virtus sedan in India. The Volkswagen Virtus is the sibling of the recently launched Skoda Slavia. This comes after a lot of spy shots were seen all over the internet of a new Volkswagen sedan. VW hasn’t revealed the prices for the Virtus 1.0L TSI or the 1.5L EVO TSI. Expect it to be in the range of 10 to 17 lakhs (ex-showroom). An India-wide launch is expected in May 2022

Volkswagen Virtus Engine & Transmission
The VE Virtus comes with two petrol (Turbocharged) engine options; a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI (115hp and 175Nm) and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TSI (150hp and 250Nm)
It should be noted that the 1.0L TSI is only offered on Dynamic Line whereas the 1.5 TSI is only offered on Performance Line variants.
The 6-speed manual is standard on both engine options. However, the 1.0L TSI is also offered with a 6-Speed Torque Converter Automatic. The phenomenal 7-Speed DSG DCT is reserved for the 1.5L TSI EVO engine.

VW Virtus Colour & Variant options
The Virtus will be available in two variant lines;
- Dynamic Line; which includes all the 1.0 TSI variants
- Performance Line; which includes the 1.5 TSI variants.The top-end variant Virtus 1.5 will be called the Virtus GT, which gets plenty of black detailing on the exterior. The VW Virtus will be available in 6 colour options; Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel Grey, Curcuma Yellow, Reflex Silver, Rising Blue Metallic.
