Coming to the working the AEB uses the sensors which are placed in front of the IRVM’s and behind the windshield in order to detect objects in front of the car. A custom made software helps helped identify distinct objects such as cyclists and pedestrians and apply brakes independently to avoid the collision.
Volvo India has already begun the process of getting in touch with the owners of the recalled models, Although the repairing of the designated faulty software may take time because of the restrictions placed on all Volvo India dealerships because of the on-going Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
However, owners of these faulty cars can be driven without any issues as the normal braking system and all other functions stay un-affected.
