Volvo S90 sedan and the V90 estate were already hot-selling models and now the carmaker has revealed facelifts for both of them! The updated models include the addition of mild hybrid engine options. The S90 and the V90 didn’t have the mild hybrid option till now but with the addition of this option to the sedan and estate, this powertrain is now available across all the models in Volvo’s international lineup.

The mild-hybrid option that is available in almost all the Volvo cars will now be clubbed with the Volvo S90 and the Volvo V90. This system comes with a 48V battery and an integrated starter/generator and energy recovery system. This powertrain will surely be an added feature which will make both these facelifts a popular choice!
Volvo has made few more changes other than the powertrain on the all-new Volvo S90 and V90. Let’s have a look at what’s new with both these cars. Both S90 and V90 get a reworked front bumper with a new set of headlights. This is the first time ever that Volvo has opted for the sequential indicators. Yes, the S90 and the V90 get sequential indicator lights and a new set of fog lamps. The rear also gets a revamped set of LED taillights.

Volvo has also added the ‘Advance Air Cleaning Technology’ inside the Volvo S90 and Volvo V90. This system is capable of cleaning the air and also displaying the air quality inside the cabin on the infotainment system as well. This was available only in China until now.

Volvo has already realised the necessary changes to be made in the cars for India. The new S90 and V90 are BS6 compliant. The Volvo S90 is currently available in India in a fully loaded single version whereas the V90 is here in its rugged cross country avatar. It is not known when Volvo will launch these two in India as of now.
