Hyundai Creta was launched in India back in 2015. Since then, the SUV has evolved into a cult of its own by becoming the best-selling in the segment. Then, in 2020, the year of doom, things were completely opposite for the Creta. A new generation, with new design, features and performance, was launched at the Auto Expo 2020. So, why is the 2020 Hyundai Creta an update we badly needed? Let’s find out!
TLDR!?! Check out this video!

3 Engine Options!
The all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta is simply more powerful. Now you get three BS6-compliant engines to choose from Two petrol and one diesel. The 1.5-litre MPi petrol unit produces 113hp of power and 144Nm of torque while the 1.4-litre Kappa T-GDi Turbo-petrol, this one right here, churns out 138hp and a peak torque of 242Nm. On the Diesel front, you get a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi good enough for 113bhp and 250nm.

The DCT Transmission
The old generation Creta came with just two transmission options: a 6-speed Manual and a torque converter Automatic. But the all-new Creta gets much more than just the 6-speed MT. It gets the CVT which Hyundai calls the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). And on the top of that, the Turbo-Petrol engine comes paired to a 7-speed DCT transmission. Things just got much better! No?

Better Cabin Space
It’s not only the performance that just got better. The 2020 Hyundai Creta is better on space too! The new generation of Creta is bigger and wider than the previous one. The extra 20mm of wheelbase adds to better legroom. Even though the headroom has been reduced a bit, it isn’t actually quite noticeable.
-
Big on Infotainment
The 1st generation of Hyundai Creta had a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with basic functionality. The 2020 Hyundai Creta has been made premium with the addition of 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment with Hyundai’s Blue Link Technology. Paired with the soothing blue ambient lighting, this gen Creta can set your mood right, even on the worst days!
-
The Panoramic Sunroof
An electric sunroof has become a common sight in cars nowadays. Hyundai Creta in its first-gen offered one too, even before it was this cool. In the 2020 avatar, Creta has moved a step ahead towards being the premium one by getting a Panoramic sunroof.

Its Feature Rich

It is also safe to say that the all-new Creta is for sure a loaded SUV.

A Fully Digital Instrument Cluster
It’s not just the performance or space that the 2020 Creta gets better at. The 7.0-inch fully digital Instrument Cluster which comes with inbuilt Turn by Turn navigation, destination information, drive modes, rear parking warning display and other essential information.
-
Enhanced Safety
Hyundai Creta was already very safe. But this time around, it gets all-around disc brakes in the higher variants and an ESS or the Emergency Stop Signal that lets the vehicle behind you know in case of sudden braking.
-
The Twin-Tip Exhaust
Last but not the least, Twin-tip Exhaust which is limited to the Turbo variant of the all-new Hyundai Creta. The exhaust notes are music to the ears. Being limited to the turbo, the 2018 Creta lacked this feature too.
