Mahindra is Local #VocalForLocal
Being a totally Indian brand, Mahindra has been Vocal for Local since its inception. What started as Muhammad and Mahindra in 1945, later on, became Mahindra and Mahindra, as we know of it today. You can take a look at the complete history of the company here. Since then, Mahindra has been manufacturing commercial as well as passenger vehicles, in-house. With dedicated research and development team, Mahindra has been pioneering in the field of the automobile as well as other areas as well. Mahindra even has a team, named Mahindra Racing, that competes in the Formula E car racing championship, a race where electric cars compete. There is no other Indian team in the race at present.

Rohit Shetty and Bollywood’s undying love for the Scorpio
Ever wanted to see cars defying laws of nature and physics? Go and watch the Rohit Shetty’s movies which even make Einstein question his theories. And, apart from defying laws of physics, what do the movies have in common? It’s the SUVs which mostly is the Scorpio. Rohit Shetty just loves to toss in some Scorpios and Boleros in his movies and increase the thrill to infinity. No, I don’t love to watch the man killing science, it’s just that saying so sounds fancy! Whatsoever be there in the movies, Bollywood does love Mahindra and so do Indians.

The Indian Armed Forces Trust Mahindra
The company started with obtaining a license for building Willys Jeeps in India back in 1949. These Jeeps started getting popular amongst the Indian armed forces as well as the police forces of different regions. Later on, the Indian army also started using Mahindra MM50 for rough and unusual terrains, which other offroaders were not able to tread. Since then vehicles like Mahindra Rakshak and Mahindra Marksman have been ensuring the safety of the border patrol. Indian army does rely on the legacy and the quality of the Mahindra vehicles and so do Indians.

Mahindra Cars are Safe | #SAFERCARSFORINDIA
This company has been known to make some great quality cars with the utmost build. Be it the Mahindra Scorpio or the latest safest car of India, the Mahindra XUV300, which scored a 5-star rating at the Global NCAP. How is it the safest? Glad you asked! It is the safest car in India because it was able to score a 4-star rating for the child occupancy at the crash test, which is the highest any Indian car has scored till now. Mahindra cars are equipped with a plethora of safety features accompanied by strong and rigid bodies. This is also a major reason that Rohit Shetty picks Mahindra Scorpios for his movies, they are rugged!

Mahindra & mHawk Engines
The Indian automotive giant has a dedicated R&D centre which has led to the development of some of the best-known engines in the industry, the mHawks. These engines have been known to power Mahindra’s some of the well-known SUVs such as Scorpio, Thar, Bolero, XUV500 and so on. And the development did not end with the mHawk. At the Auto Expo 2020, Mahindra showcased a whole new range of engines called the mStallion engines. Soon, XUV300 is expected to be powered by the mStallion engine and we’ll get to know that are the new engines capable of meeting the legacy of mHawks or not.

Mahindra offers some of the best SUVs
Ask a person, especially from Haryana or Punjab, the definition of SUVs and he would start describing Scorpio or Thar or the Bolero. That is the grandeur of the Mahindra SUVs. This company is best known for rolling out some of the best SUVs such as XUV500, Scorpio, Bolero, Thar, Alturas G4, KUV100 and so on. India’s safest car, the compact SUV XUV300 is also from Mahindra.

A good resale value
With the great build quality and the powerful engine comes great resale value. Mahindra cars are known to have a great demand in the second-hand cars market as these cars are built to last and the buyers know this! Even after years of ruthless driving, these cars can return a good value while reselling. Though there is a rare chance that a person owning a Mahindra would want to sell his car. And to cater to the second-hand market, Mahindra has its own division for this, called the Mahindra First Choice, India’s very own multi-brand used car company.

Live young, Live free
With the philosophy of Live Young, Live Free, Mahindra has always been upfront in making its cars follow the modern trend, or rather make a trend of its own. Youth just loves Mahindra, all because of the masculinity Mahindra cars come with.

Why Indian go for maruti, but mahindra is safer and powerful and many features?
Hi Sai,
Maruti Suzuki meets all the guidelines that have been set by the Government under the BNVSAP norms. Mahindra is surely safe and powerful but it is Maruti that offers cars in the lower budget too. This is the reason behind customers choosing the brand over any other carmaker.
