2020 Mahindra Thar launch: Top 5 changes on the Inside to look out for

Well if you have been waiting for the upcoming Second-gen Mahindra Thar then your wait is about to come to an end soon. According to recent media reports, Mahindra has now confirmed that they are planning to launch the 2020 Mahindra Thar in August.

So let’s have a detailed overview of what the new Thar has got in store for us.

1. Front-facing Rear Seats
   

   

   This will be the first time since its launch that the Mahindra Thar front-facing rear seats but sadly these will lonely be reserved for the top-spec variants which will be a five-seat variant.

   It seems that at last Mahindra has understood how difficult and uncomfortable it is to sit on the side-facing seats is.

2. Automatic Climate Control
   

   

   Well, the Thar does come with manual climate control in the form of nobs through which we can control the air-conditioning unit but this the all-new 2020 Mahindra Thar will come equipped with automatic climate control. But you will have to pay a much higher price for that as according to leading media reports this feature too is reserved for the top-spec variants

3. A More Refined Engine

   The all-new 2020 Mahindra Thar is rumoured to be powered by an all-new 2.0-litre BS6 petrol unit as well capable of generating 187hp with 380Nm of peak torque while paired to a standard 6-speed manual gearbox and a 4WD drivetrain.

   Not only that the new Thar will also come with an improved ladder-frame chassis and an optional factory-fitted hard-top along with improved NVH levels as well.

4. Touchscreen Infotainment System
   

   

   It clearly looks that Mahindra has taken the aspect of modernity very seriously and that is the only reason why the all-new 2020 Thar will come equipped with a modern touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Andriod Auro and Apple CarPlay

5. Cruise Control

   Keeping in mind that its sole rival the Jeep Wrangler comes equipped with active cruise control it would be very disappointing for a customer who is willing to spend money and still doesn’t get enough to justify the amount spend.

   But things are about to change as the 2020 Mahindra Thar will also feature cruise control for people who wish to sway there rides on long-journeys.
