2021 Hyundai Kona & Kona N-Line Teased | India-Bound?

Hyundai Motors has released teaser images for the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Kona and Kona N-Line. Both the SUV’s are based on the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ global design structure.

The Kona is already sale in the domestic market and has been doing quite well in terms of sales. With the new teaser images, Hyundai has clearly indicated the presence of an all-new design structure that the upcoming 2021 Kona will the Next Big Thing!

How is the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Kona different its current-gen?

  • Starting from the front the new 2021 Kona sports a sharper front fascia compared to its predecessor.
  • The new model also offers a wider stance with its shark inspired nose that gives the new-gen EV a sleeker look.
  • Its new set of DRLs also enhances the overall look of the upcoming EV. The upgraded front and rear bumpers also add points to its appearance.
  • The triple array LED headlamps also compliments the overall design element. The oversized “H” badge is also seen placed in an angular manner on the front bumper

What about the Hyundai Kona N-Line?

  • With the standard Kona, we also get a glimpse of the performance-based version of the EV as well. The Hyundai Kona N-Line will be Introduced with the standard variant.
  • The Kona N-line series is expected to sit up-top the standard version and will launch along with it.
  • In terms of styling, the performance-based Kona carries the N-Line badging on the front grille.
  • Apart from the minor styling upgrades, we can expect the N-line to offer a more refined and powerful engine in its designated segment.

Will it launch in India?

  • Looking at the current situation, it is highly unlikely for the South-Korean brand to launch the updated version of the Kona anytime soon.
  • If and when launched the 2021 Kona will lock its horns with the much more affordable rivals like Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV.
