2022 Tata Tigor EV Gets 315kms Range. Starts At ₹12.49 Lakh

Tata Motors has launched the new and updated Tigor EV sedan. The biggest highlight of the new Tigor EV is the updated range, Multi-Mode Brake Regeneration feature and a new colour option. The Tigor EV prices start at ₹12.49 lakh going all the way up to ₹13.75 lakh.

The new 315 km range (ARAI Certified) comes as a slight improvement over the 306 kms claims on the current Tigor EV. The Tigor EV will also carry forward some of the features of the Nexon EV Max and the Nexon EV Prime.

Similar to the Nexon Prime & Max, the Tigor EV will come with similar four-level regenerative braking, where Level 0 cuts off regen and Level 3 is the strongest regen. The Multi-Mode Brake Regeneration helps in recharging the batteries while in stop-go traffic or on down slopes, thus increasing effective driving range.

Other new additions to the Tigor EV include Cruise Control, an indirect TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) via the Tata smartphone app, and smartwatch-integrated connectivity features.

2022 Tata Tigor Features

Feature-wise, Tata has done some tinkering on the Tigor EV offering some new features like- Leatherette Upholstery, Leather-wrapped steering wheel, Automatic Rain Sensing wipers, Automatic Headlamps and finally Cruise Control. Plus a new colour option; Magnetic Red colour option. Multi-Mode Brake Regen, Z Connect Connected Car Technology with smartwatch connectivity and iTPMS (intelligent Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) are standard features across the complete range.

At the launch event of the updated 2022 Tata Tigor EV, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility and Passenger Vehicles said, “In line with our New Forever philosophy, it is now time to upgrade the Tigor EV with more tech and premium features. Our deep insights on the customer driving pattern received from the 600 million kilometres covered on Indian roads have helped us understand and deliver better efficiency and range. We are happy to present to you the new Tigor EV with an extended range of 315km (ARAI certified) — More Tech, More Luxe, More EV.”

For existing Tigor EV owners, Tata is offering a free update pack through a software update by walking into any Tata Motors Authorised Service Centre starting December 20, 2022. Owners can get their Tigor EVs upgraded with Multi-Mode Brake Regeneration, iTPMS and Tyre Puncture Repair Kit.

Moreover, existing XZ+ and XZ+ Dual Tone owners can also get a Z Connect Smartwatch Connectivity upgrade.
