The Star Performer!
The face-lifted model of the Hyundai Creta, manufactured in Indonesia and which is up for sale in other Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam etc., impressed many by scoring 5 stars at the ASEAN NCAP crash test. The facelift model made its debut a year back in Indonesia.
The tested model was the base Active trim that comes topped with dual front airbags as standard, seatbelt reminders, and ABS+EBD and ESC. A higher spec model was also tested to test the safety assist system that is offered by the SUV on higher trims.

The Results
In the adult occupant protection category, the Creta facelift scored 27.78 points out of 32, thereby achieving a 5-star rating. In the frontal impact test, the vehicle offered “good protection” to the upper body of the front passengers, even though the driver’s leg protection was only “adequate”. The SUV was also tested for side impact, where it managed to offer “marginal protection” for the chest area.
In the child occupant protection category, the Creta facelift scored 39.67 points out of 51, once again achieving a 5-star rating. Tested with two child dummies of a one-and-half-year-old and a three-year-old child, the SUV was tested for front and side impact along with the installation of a child restraint system.
Regarding the safety assist systems on the higher trim, the Creta facelift scored 14.79 out of 21 points. Autonomous emergency braking and blind spot detection were also tested, both of which cleared a 5-star rating.

Creta Facelift: Indian Launch?
Likely to offer the same powertrain, the Hyundai Creta Facelift is expected to arrive in India anytime around the mid of 2023. The SUV will bring in a totally refreshed exterior along with several premium features, including ADAS Onboard!
