The Hyundai Kona has always been in talks for being one of the best offerings from the Korean automaker. Now that we are moving towards 2023, the brand is all set to reveal the brand-new 2024 Hyundai Kona in the United States. The crossover will have three variants on offer this time: EV, hybrid, purely combustion-powered, and N Line.
While India gets only the EV version on offer, we are more than excited to know if Hyundai will bring in other versions as well. Talking about the design, the new Hyundai Kona gets the Staria light design following Hyundai’s new design language. The new crossover gets a single line of DRLs on the front while the headlight and then taillight units are placed lower in the bumper.
On the rear, the electric trim gets pixel graphic detail on the grille and the rear bumper, along with pixel-inspired 19-inch wheels. The ICE and HEV trims get black wheel arch claddings, coupled with a more rugged bumper design. Coming to the N-Line, gets an aggressive front and rear bumper with wing-type spoilers and optional black mirrors. Distinctive 19-inch alloy wheels, twin mufflers, and silver side skirts are also on offer.
If we talk about the interior, this time, the Kona gets a more drive-centric approach. This time, we have a 12.3-inch screen on offer for both the infotainment and the MID. The gear lever is now behind the steering wheel which has made the centre space freer than the previous gen. The 2024 Hyundai Kona is wide and has a longer wheelbase too.
As per Hyundai’s press release,
“The all-new Kona’s clean, distinctive nose characterizes the front section’s pure volume, which contributes to the model’s smooth aerodynamic performance.”
