Korean automobile major Hyundai has recently launched the second-generation of the Creta compact SUV in the country. According to leading media reports Hyundai also seems to be planning to update its portfolio with a new line-up. Hyundai Tucson Facelift
Expected Launch- August 2021
The all-new facelift version of the Tucson made its debut at the recently held Auto Expo 2020 and is likely to come with some slightly improved styling ques along with some premium features.
According to recent media reports the new line-up will come under 3 variant- GL 2WD, GLS 2WD and GLS 4WD- powered by a powerful 2.0L diesel and petrol engines pushing the maximum power output to 182hp and 150hp respectively.
Both the engine unit will come paired to either a 6-speed or an 8-speed unit automatic gearbox.

7-Seater Hyundai Creta
Expected Launch- January 2021
After the immense success of the 5 seater Creta Hyundai seems to be planning something big as not too long ago spy shots of the 7-seater variant of the Creta SUV was spotted testing in broad daylight.
With its launch, this new Hyundai car will actively rival the likes of the upcoming MG Hector Plus and the Tata Gravitas.
The new 7-seater premium SUV is likely to have a higher ground clearance and will be 30mm longer and will sit on a 20mm longer wheelbase if compared to the regular 5-seater variant.
Additionally, it will also feature 1.0Lturbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel unit while underpinning the same transmission from its 5 seater cousin.

Hyundai Electric SUV
Expected Launch- Late 2021
Amongst these combustion engine based SUV Hyundai is also planning to launch another electric SUV for the domestic market which will actively rival the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and will the company’s first Made-in-India and Made-for-India product.
This new all-electric SUV is likely to be based on a much more flexible platform if compared to the Hyundai Kona electric SUV and will also offer a maximum driving range between 200km-300km

Hyundai Palisade SUV
Expected Launch- Unknown
It seems that the South Korean auto major is also planning to bring the Hyundai Palisade SUV to Indian Shores but who knows what’s gonna happen in the end. Nevertheless, If and when launched this new Hyundai car will give a tough competition to the Ford Endeavour, Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, and the upcoming MG Gloster.
Under its hood, Hyundai Palisade is likely to feature a 3.8L V6 direct-injection petrol and a 2.2L turbocharged diesel unit capable of producing 91hp with 355Nm and 200bhp with 441Nm of peak torque respectively.

Next-gen Hyundai i20
Expected Launch- June 2020
This might be the most awaited new Hyundai car which we all have been waiting for since a very long time. The all-new next-generation Hyundai i20 hatchback is expected to be offered with 3 engine options ranging from a 1.2L petrol, a 1.0L turbo petrol, a 1.5L diesel, and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine.
all the 3 engines are likely to come mated to either a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter gearbox option. Additionally, the new i20 will also be the first in its segment to hold an all-digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch display.

Hyundai Starex MPV
Expected Launch- Mid-2021
It seems that the carmaker has thought of doing something out of the box and is all set to introduce its first-ever MPV the Starec which will actively rival the likes of the newly launched Kia Carnival and the segment dominator the Toyota Innova Crysta.
The new MPV from Hyundai is likely to feature a 2.2L turbo diesel engine churning 197hp with 440Nm of peak torque while paired to a 6-speed AMT. Not only that the Straex MPV will also support some premium features like a freestanding 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 17-inch alloys, split LED headlamps, double swing rear door, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera and the list goes on.
