Icona Nucleus Concept To Be Showcased In Auto Expo 2020

Italy based carmaker Icona Design will be coming to India and showcasing its Driverless concept car named Icona Nucleus. They will be showcasing the model in Auto Expo this year.

Teresio Gigi Gaudio, Icona chairman and CEO said that they want to be a part of Indias growing EV market. He considers India a promising market with high potential for design. He also expects India to be a major player in the EV segment and thus they are bringing the new concept car to India which according to them is the synthesis of futurism and a human-centred mindset.

Cosmetic wise the Icona Nucleus is a beauty to look at. The design is unique and not seen in other cars or concepts. The body is asymmetrical and the division is visible through a small line going through the body. Instead of windows the car as semi-transparent doors allowing full visibility from inside while it will block prying eyes from outside.

The Icona Nucleus is a big car, with 5250 mm length, 2120 mm width and 1750mm length. It gets 27 Inch wheels  It gets one sliding door and oyster roof opening which involves opening roof completely to allow people to use it as a ramp to get inside the car. It is also a 6 seater with rows being adjustable enough to rotate seats around its axis.

In terms of power, it can output 591 bhp as the battery is made up of 6 coils and weighs 300 kilograms. The car can accelerate from 0-100 in 3.5 seconds. it can go up to a maximum range of 1200kms with the help of a Hydrogen range accelerator.

Being a concept we can’t compare this car to anyone but if Icona Design considers the Indian market a good place for them they might release a version of this car according to our country’s market.
