2021 Nissan Kicks e-Power Launched in Thailand | Comes in 4 Variants

Nissan has officially launched the Kicks e-Power SUV in Thailand. The Kicks e-Power was launched first in Japan.

The Nissan Kicks e-Power is indigenously made in Thailand to promote electric mobility in the nation. Yutaka Sanada, MC Chairman and regional senior vice president, Nissan Asia & Oceania said “The launch of the all-new Nissan Kicks e-POWER in Thailand represents the disruptive and innovative DNA of Nissan that we continue to bring to the region”

The Nissan Kicks e-Power is completely electric driven meaning that the wheels get their power from an onboard electric motor. However, when power is required (while climbing or hard acceleration), the electric motor gets power from both the battery and the petrol engine. The Nissan Kicks e-Power utilises regenerative braking to feed power back to the batteries.

The 2021 Nissan Kicks e-Power technology uses an EM57 electric motor, a generator and an inverter that generates electricity from a 1.2 litres 3-cylinder engine with a The 1.57 kWh lithium-ion battery. The power figure of the whole e-Power system comes at 129 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque

The 2021 Nissan Kicks e-Power features four driving modes; Normal, Sport, Eco and EV. As evident, the EV mode uses only the battery power to propel the car providing for a nice and quiet driving experience.

On the front, the 2021 Kicks gets Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille with LED headlights and Boomerang DRLs on each side. The rear also gets the LED treatment. The new Kicks is based on Nissan’s Emotional Geometry design language which gives the cabin more space.

Inside, the Kicks e-Power features a Gliding Wing dashboard with a 7.0-inch infotainment system.

The New Nissan Kicks e-Power comes in a total of 4 variants with the base model starting at 889,000 baht (around ₹21 lakh) and the top model at 1,049,000 baht (around ₹24.8 lakh).
