What is the reason for the Maruti Suzuki’s Recall?
The possible reason cited for this recall is a faulty fuel pump in both the designated models. Maruti Suzuki will replace the faulty parts and the customers will have to pay nothing for the service or replacement.
How will I get to know if my car is amongst the affected lot?
It’s simple, the owners of the affected vehicle models will be contacted their designated Maruti Suzuki authorised dealers eventually. Additionally, customers also have an option to visit the brand’s official website – www.marutisuzuki.com for WagonR owners and www.nexaexperience.com for Baleno owners and click on the ‘Imp Customer Info’ section and fill in their vehicles chassis number (i.e MA3 or MBH, followed by the usual 14-digit alpha-numeric number) in order to track if the designated vehicle comes under the recall campaign or not.
However, if the vehicle somehow falls into the recall list the customers will just have to follow provided instructions given on the website.
Has it happened before?
Well, yes it has happened before where the brand had recalled a total of 63,493 units of the SHVS variants of the Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6 produced between January 1, 2019, and November 21, 2019, due to a faulty (MGU) Motor Generator Unit issue.
