Something is not going well with royal H’ness! A few months back it was Honda who very confidently launched a more sophisticated and tech-savvy version of the infamous CB350.
Within months after its launch, it is suspected to have encountered transmission problems due to which honda might issue a recall anytime soon.
Honda has issued a voluntary recall for the H’ness CB350 which with effect from 23rd March 2021. Models Manufactured between November 25 and December 12, 2020, are part of the recall.
What exactly is the issue?
- Honda has identified a different material grade usage in countershaft 4th gear of the transmission, which may lead to a defect upon extensive running/usage of the motorcycle. However, there are no cases of any failure reported to date.
- As a precautionary measure to replace the affected part (countershaft 4th gear of transmission) free of cost irrespective of the warranty status of the vehicle.
Something more about the H’ness
- The motorcycle gets a promising 348cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine.
- This BS6 compliant motor is good enough to produce 21ps of max power and 30Nm of peak torque. These numbers in no way are not earth-shattering.
- With the H’ness we also get to see features such as Honda Smartphone voice control which allows the rider to use a dedicated Honda RoadSync app through which features like alerts on incoming calls, music playback and audio instructions for navigation can be accessed system, selectable torque control’ system, slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS.
