Before disclosing the technical specs, we’d like to tell you that the motorcycle is exclusively developed and designed at the company’s headquarters in Hinckley, UK.

  • The motorcycle comes powered by a 660cc in-line three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This motor is capable of generating a peak power of 80hp and a maximum torque of 64Nm.
  • Also, transferring the power to the rear wheel is a 6-speed gearbox that also comes peppered with slip and assist clutch.
  • Well, the company says the gear ratios are precisely selected for everyday city riding as well as long rides.

Being a naked motorcycle the USP of the bike has to be its curb weight. The Triumph Trident 660 weighs only 189kgs. Meaning? It has an exciting power to weight ratio.

  • The 2021 Trident also sports a small coloured TFT screen apart from the speed and RPM readout.
  • And this screen offers the rest of the useful information about the motorcycle. This includes riding modes, bike setup, trip settings and more.
  • Not to forget, this Triumph street fighter also gets most of the connected technology for the rider’s aid.
  • The bike is available in 4 different colours.

Does the motorcycle have competition?

Triumph shook the mid-weight motorcycle market by pricing the Trident 660 lower than its competition. And with Trump’s tag, the deal becomes even sweeter. The Triumph Trident 660 will cost you ₹6.95 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Triumph has already started taking booking for the motorcycle and the booking amount stands at ₹50,000/-

Competing against the Trident 660 are motorcycles like Honda CB650R and Kawasaki Z650. Let us know what do you think of this motorcycle? Will it be able to rule the mid-weight motorcycle segment?
