Hyundai is known for giving quick updates to their cars, so Creta is all set to take on some changes for the 2022 model year. It got a major facelift in 2020 when the design new Palisade-like design was loved by few and hated by more. However, the design has grown on us, so much so that the mini-Palisade is one of India’s best-selling cars now! Let’s see what’s in store with the new 2022 Hyundai Creta.

Exterior changes on the 2022 Hyundai Creta
The front of the Creta is getting a fresh design and it will be something similar to the 2021 Tuscon. The headlamps will still have a complete LED set-up, but, they will now be integrated with the front grille. This gives the front a very plush and smooth look. The fog-lamp housing will also change and it will be placed just below the headlamps, where it’s much more visible.

What’s new on the Inside
On the inside, nothing much is expected to change since the Creta is already pretty loaded on the inside with some amazing features. The layout of the interior might get a few colour changes and material changes. One major addition to the interior will be the 10.25 inch fully digital driver’s display, similar to the one seen on the Alcazar.

New Features on the 2022 Hyundai Creta
As we already said, the outgoing Creta is already loaded, however, there were a few features that we missed! The new Creta will get a 360-degree parking camera, which was a big miss in 2020, Lane Keep Assist, and a completely digital driver’s display. The 2022 Hyundai Creta is also expected to be equipped with ADAS features since the competition offers it.

Engine Options
The new Creta will most likely inherit the outgoing engines. They are- a 1.5L Petrol(115HP and 144nm), a 1.5L Diesel(115HP and 250nm) and a 1.4L Turbo-Petrol(138HP and 242nm). This is not a bad thing at all, these engines offer amazing performance, refinement, and fuel efficiency. The 1.5L petrol gets either a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission and the diesel gets either a 6-speed manual/AT gearbox. The 1.4L Turbo-Petrol is exclusive to a 7-speed DCT.

Pricing and India Launch
Hyundai will unveil the all-new Creta in Indonesia in November 2021 and an India launch should happen by the second half of 2022. While exact pricing is not available at the moment, we do believe that the Creta will come with a 5-10% hike in its price.
