While the Hyundai Palisade is doing wonders in the international market, Hyundai is still evaluating it for the Indian market. This SUV was globally unveiled in 2018 and the Korean automaker has shown keen interest in launching this one in India because the Indian crown is an SUV lover! The 2020 Hyundai Creta is already a huge success and in the previous times too, the Santa Fe has done equally great. Therefore, Hyundai now wants to launch the Palisade in India as well considering it a great opportunity to rule this segment in India!

The right-hand-drive versions of the Hyundai Palisade are already there but Hyundai is currently evaluating the possibilities of launching this SUV in India. If launched, the Palisade will stand at the top of Hyundai India’s lineup. Basically, the automaker is currently deciding on which route to follow for Palisade India launch. The main thing they are considering is demand. Hyundai currently aims to evaluate the numbers they can look forward too. This is because, if the demand is less, they will directly import it paying the import duties but if the demand is fairly high, they will have to localise the production of this SUV in India itself.

Hyundai Palisade is currently available in the left-hand-drive variants but will soon launch in Australia and South Africa in the right-hand-drive avatar. Therefore, Hyundai is also planning to enter India around the same time. The current version of the Hyundai Palisade that is available in the USA, is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine that generates 295hp. The South Korean Model has got a 2.2-litre diesel engine also. Both the engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which comes along with an FWD system.
