Audi has launched the 2022 Q3 into the Indian market after being discontinued due to the BS6 emission norms earlier. This is the second generation of the SUV and packs some new features & tech along with a striking design. Let’s see what they have to offer:
Petrol Powertrain
The Q3 will be offered with a single engine option, it will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TFSI petrol engine churning out 190hp & 320Nm torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission along with a Quattro AWD system as standard. It goes from 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds.

The same engine powers other SUVs such as its elder sibling Q5 and Volkswagen’s other SUVs like Tiguan & Skoda Kodiaq. All these cars are based on the same platform as well, the VW’s Group’s MQB.
Design & Interior
The second generation Q3 is larger than its predecessor with more length & a slightly longer wheelbase. It borrows design inspiration from the Q5 and features an octagonal grille with angular bumper creases, sleek cuts & sharper LED headlamps & wrap-around taillights. It stands on 18-inch alloy wheels and it is offered in 5 colors: Mythos Black, Chronos Grey, Glacier White, Navarra Blue & Pulse Orange.

The interior has been revamped and features a 10.1-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system integrated into the dashboard. In addition to that, it also gets decorative aluminum inserts for the door pads & dashboard contrasting with available themes; Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige.

Audi has retained physical dials & buttons for the dual-zone climate control system and other features such as a panoramic sunroof, park assist with reverse camera, paddle shifters, and 30-colour ambient lighting. It also gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Pricing & Variants
The bookings for the new Q3 opened this month for a booking amount of ₹2 lakhs. Audi offers a 5-year warranty with this SUV and some offers for the first 500 buyers. It is available in two variants with a Premium Plus priced at ₹44.89 lakhs ex-showroom and the Technology variant priced at ₹50.39 lakhs ex-showroom.
