BS6 Hyundai Venue Diesel fuel economy REVEALED!

The BS6 compliant Hyundai Venue recently made its debut in the Indian market. The compact SUV from Hyundai has been on sale in India for less than a year. Considering the success, Hyundai upgraded the previously available 1.4-litre BS4 diesel engine to a brand new BS6 compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine. The engine specifications like the power and torque output are already known. The prices were also revealed earlier. The most important thing that wasn’t there till now is the mileage. Fuel economy is one of the most important factors that Indians consider while buying a car.

This the BS6 Hyundai Venue diesel has revealed its fuel economy figures as well. The economy on the new BS6 compliant engine has dropped. But the figure is not significant. The earlier BS4 compliant version used to deliver 23.7 kmpl. The new engine on the Venue diesel has got an ARAI certified fuel economy of 23.3 kmpl. The difference is only 0.4kmpl which is fair enough as with the new engine, you get 10hp more power and 20nm more torque than the previous engine.

With an economy figure of 23.3 kmpl, the BS6 Hyundai Venue diesel is the most fuel-efficient car in its segment. The Venue currently rivals the Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV300.

So we see that the Hyundai Venue BS6 diesel is the most fuel-efficient car in its segment as of now. The Mahindra XUV300 turns out to be the most powerful though! Mahindra has also not upgraded the price after making its machines BS6 compliant which is surely a thing to be considered.
