India’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS-6 compliant version of the popular sedan, Ciaz. It is the brand’s 11th model to get the BS6 upgrade. All the variants of the sedan have been upgraded. In addition to this, a top-spec model Ciaz C has been launched too.

The company has raised the prices of the sedan while upgrading to the BS6 from BS4 ranging from ₹11,000 to ₹22,000. There are a total of 8 variants of Ciaz. Here’s a variant-wise price list for you:

It will rival against the Hyundai Verna (facelift due in coming months), all-new Honda City (scheduled to launch in May 2020), soon to be BS6 updated Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid, and the already updated Toyota Yaris.

The engine is equipped with Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid tech which also does the duties on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the XL6. The upcoming Vitara Brezza and the S-cross facelifts can also be expected to get the same engine.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6 | Interior and Exterior
The Ciaz S variant features a sporty exterior and all-black interior. Other variants will carry on the dual-tone beige-black theme. The Ciaz S also gets a black boot-mounted spoiler to add to the sporty look. Black-finished 16-inch alloys surely add to the bling.

The 2016 Suzuki Ciaz earned a 4-star rating for adult occupancy and 2-star for the child occupancy at the ASEAN NCAP. The rating must be improved as the Global NCAP has also urged the carmaker to think about making the cars safer.
