1. Maruti Suzuki Swift
   

   

   If you look at monthly sales reports, it won’t be difficult for you to realise that the list is always dominated by Maruti Suzuki. This time too, the sales report August 2020 starts with Maruti Suzuki Swift in the first place. Swift became the top-selling car for the month of August 2020 with a sale of 14,869 units. Swift has been a top-seller ever since it was launched and the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Swift still stands as a tough competition for its rivals.

2. Maruti Suzuki Alto
   

   

   Another one from Maruti Suzuki, the Alto stands at the 2nd place for the month of August with a sale of 14,397 units. Renault Kwid, Datsun RediGO have tried to compete against this hatch but the Alto still stands unbeatable in terms of sales in the 800cc segment. For the car sales report August 2020, Maruti Suzuki Alto stands at the second position.

3. Maruti WagonR
   

   

   Talking about high car sales? WagonR is also one of the most bought cars in India! This time, WagonR stands at the third position with a sale of 13,770 units. WagonR is available in 1.0 and 1.2-litre engine configurations along with the availability of CNG and an AMT gearbox! Well, that’s too much on offer! The tallboy hatch also remains among the top 10 selling cars in almost all the sale reports.

4. Maruti Dzire
   

   

   Continuing the list of car sales report August 2020, we have the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. MSIL gave it a facelift in 2020. The 2020 Dzire has got a bold front fascia and we suppose the Indian audience is in love with this sub-4-metre sedan. The Indian market has got the Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Aura, but the Dzire seems to be unbeatable! Standing at the 4th place, the Dzire sold a total of 13,629 units in the last month.

5. Hyundai Creta
   

   

   The 2020 Hyundai Creta has impressed the Indian audience with its bold and distinct look. Creta is a complete package for all type of audiences. You get features, performance, mileage, looks and what not! The 2020 Hyundai Creta has finally outsold its sibling – the Kia Seltos and stands at the 5th place with a sale of 11,758 units. 6. Maruti Suzuki Baleno
   

   

   It has been more than a year that Toyota launched the rebadged Baleno. We haven’t seen Glanza’s sale figures anywhere near the Baleno. Maruti Suzuki Baleno seems to be India’s favourite premium hatch as it is always among the top 10 selling cars! For the month of August 2020, Baleno sold a total of 10,742 units.

7. Kia Seltos
   

   

   The Hyundai Creta sibling has come down to the 7th position this time in terms of sales. Kia Seltos has got a really appreciable response from the audience and a new brand surviving in India that too with only one car down the lineup for so long is really commendable!    The second car to be in the list of top 10 from Hyundai. The Grand i10 NIOS is a widely selling hatch. For the car sales report August 2020, Grand i10 stands at the 8th place with a sale of 10,190 units and is the last one on the list to cross the 10k mark.

9. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
   

   

   The MPV segment leader (in terms of sales, obviously) Maruti Suzuki Ertiga stands at the 9th place in the car sales report august 2020. Indian audience has shown immense love to the Ertiga. Fleet owners love it and the families also choose it as their MPV due to the excellent fuel efficiency. Spending less on fuel makes travel fun right? Therefore, Ertiga is the only MPV in the top 10 list for the car sales report in August 2020.

For those who are reading the sales report for the very first time, let me tell you that Maruti Eeco has been on the list for long. Beating many modern-day cars with updated features, Maruti Eeco stands at the 10th position with a sale of 9,115 units.
