6 Cars That Should Be Erased From History Books Part 1

Every now and then, automobile manufacturers do something unique and out of the ordinary to set their vehicles apart from the competition. These manufacturers accidentally exaggerate everything like appearance, powertrain, trying to fit in with the trend, and more. After all, no one is flawless. So, without further ado, here is a list of six cars that should be erased from history books. Although all of the cars may or may not be forgotten for the same reason. Let’s get started!

  1. Force Motors Force One

    Force One

The Force Motors is an uncommon Indian automobile company. Force has the ability to produce some of the best utilitarian vehicles available. This company, on the other hand, attempted to enter a completely other markets with Force One in 2011. Force One was a go-anywhere vehicle, but it was more opulent than the rest of the Force’s vehicles.

Force Motor Force One appeared to be a large, robust vehicle with full Force DNA at a first impression. However, upon closer inspection, it revealed numerous problems. Though it provided some creature comforts, the compilation’s quality was lacking. Another issue was the pricing, which was prohibitively expensive. Force One was decommissioned in 2016.

  2. Sonalika Rhino

Remember the Toyota Qualis, an MPV that was and still is regarded as the OG of cabs in the Indian market? Well, it was phased out to make room for the Toyota Innova, which has since improved and is still going strong. Leaving that aside, Sonalika was an attempt to resurrect the original Qualis by just using its typical exterior cues.

You may inquire as to how. Sonalika Rhino seems to have the same body structure. However, the vehicle’s front end and back end were completely redesigned. However, this rebuild gave the vehicle strange features, and the likeness drew criticism. As a result, it did not sell well and ended up here.

  3. DC Avanti

One and only production car from the house of DC was the Avanti. To begin with, it appeared to be extremely aggressive and eager to move quickly, based on its appearance. Next, the DC Avanti was regarded as a supercar (just by its looks on the outside). It was a surprise when we opened the door and walked inside. Avanti was equipped with minimal essentials on the interior.

Its only features were an air conditioner and electric windows. Avanti, on the other hand, was not very fast. A 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 253.5ps of peak power and 340Nm of peak torque was installed under the seats. Avanti can also accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds. Please hold up! The Skoda Octavia RS245, which costs almost the same, can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in roughly 6.4 seconds.

  4. Mahindra Verito Vibe

The Logan was launched in India by Renault in conjunction with Mahindra. Mahindra then gave the vehicle a unique touch in order to test the Verito Vibe, which tribally failed. Mahindra, a well-known Indian automaker, loves chopping the rear portion of automobiles to give them a new character. In India, the same thing happened to Logan and Verito. The boot of the Mahindra Verito has been sliced to make it a little smaller than practical.

This act of Mahindra gave the Vibe a less-than-vibrant appeal, and it landed in the hall of hate as a result. The situation was made worse by the fact that the Vrito Vibe’s boot was useless. To begin with, it was not proportionate, implying that it was practically impracticable. Furthermore, the loading bay was oddly shaped and narrow, making the space at the back even less usable.

The Zen was a popular choice for vehicle purchasers in the late 1990s, after the Maruti Suzuki 800. So, in order to separate out from the throng, Maruti chose to give the Zen a vintage look based on the previous Zen.

Well, this old school did work on a number of Maruti vehicles, but the Maruti Zen was not one of them. One might also argue that the concept for a retro-styled automobile did not go over as well as one might have hoped because the Zen Classic looked downright awful.

  6. San Storm

For those who are unfamiliar with San Motor, it is a relatively unknown automobile company. The Storm roadster was the company’s first and only product (in 1998) after the company was founded in 1996. It was created by the ‘Le Mans Group,’ a French company. Renault, a French automaker, supplied even the engine. Renault’s engine was a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produced 60hp and 90 Nm of peak torque.

Customers were deterred from purchasing one because of the price. For the money at the time, the automobile only had an air conditioner. The roof was also manually operated. Previously, this automobile cost approximately 6.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
