If one wants to increase the power output of a vehicle with a naturally aspirated engine, the first thing that comes to mind is forced induction. And the best way to do this is via a turbocharger or a supercharger, and sometimes hooligans choose both. But coming down to some sane stuff, nowadays, cars are readily coming with a turbocharger. But do you know there were cars that used to come with a supercharger?

The 3.0-litre engine was capable of generating 328.5hp of max power and a whopping 440 Nm of maximum torque. This Sportback came mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

    In 2020 the Tata-owned luxury car manufacturer Jaguar launched the new coupe F-Pace in India. The sports car was more aggressive and a lot more appealing than before. But the basic DNA remained the same. Like the previous model, the new F-pace got a massive 5.0-litre supercharged petrol engine. This motor was enough to produce 575hp of max power and 700Nm of sheer torque. Talking transmission, the car still comes with an eight-speed auto box.

    Why should sports cars and sports sedans have all the fun? Well, *the* most luxurious SUV from the Range Rover’s portfolio is the autobiography SV. This SUV is among the longest and the widest stock SUV on the planet. Alongside luxury, the selling point of the Autobiography SV has to be the powerful powertrain. Powering this beast is a 542hp motor that is obviously supercharged and displaces 5.0 litres. This engine is capable of producing a massive torque output of 680Nm.

Hence keep the SUV trend in full swing, the people at Range Roger installed the 5.0-litre supercharged petrol engine from the F-Type into the Ranger Rover Sport SVR. Making it one of the quicker SUV on the globe. Well, the car makes identical power as the F-pace. This means the maximum power sits at 575hp and peak torque delivered to all the four-wheel is 700Nm.

    Possibly one of the most affordable vehicle on the list with a supercharger is the Jaguar XE. Okay, things repeat themselves but this time around it’s more often. From 2013 to 2016, Jaguar produced a 5.0-litre supercharged sedan the XF V8. The ex-showroom price tag at which the car came with was ₹83.95 Lakhs and sad on top of the variant list. Though 5 litres, it was a little low on power when compared to other vehicles with a similar engine. Talking numbers, this motor used to produce 503hp and 625Nm of peak torque.

    The smallest engine doped up with a supercharger was in a 2.0-litre 4 cylinder petrol engine. Okay, adding a little to this detain, the engine was pampered with a supercharger as well as a turbocharger. Because of this outstanding technology this powertrain was capable of generating 407hp of maximum power. Additionally, the engine drives a peak torque of 640Nm to all 4 wheels.
